We are currently recruiting for a Welder Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Ardleigh. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term stability and the chance to develop your welding skills within a fast-paced production environment. This role would suit a college leaver or even someone with more TIG experience in a practical, physically demanding role.
About The Role
Working within a busy production team, you will be involved in the manufacture of reinforced metal structures, primarily working with rebar. The role is fast-paced and physical. You will be working on jigs and benches, carrying out TIG and tack welding, as well as cutting, bending, and assembling materials. You will also be required to follow basic engineering.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
