Camfil UK has two production sites based in Haslingden, Lancashire and Gillingham, Kent. Globally, the Camfil group employs over 6000 people and has headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
We are looking for a: Welder / Fabricator at our Gillingham, Kent site (39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm/Friday 8am to 3:30pm)

Whose main responsibilities are:
- Manual welding and fabrication of components to customer specification.
- To be able to read and understand drawings that will include British / International standards and welding symbols.
- Having a good understanding of fixtures, jigs and clamps when required.
- Being able to produce 'First Offs' to specifications.
- Self-Inspection and to include the use of measuring equipment such as Vernier's, Micrometres and Height Gauges.
- Working within weld specifications / procedures to minimise the risk of defective / reject parts.

Ideally the candidate must have:
- An Understanding of Welding Symbols and British / International standards.
- Qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1
- Previous experience within a Precision Manufacturing environment.
- Worked with thicknesses from 1mm to 6mm.
- Knowledge and previous experience with carbon and stainless steels, in a welding environment.
- Demonstrable MAG / TIG Welding experience.
Preferably the candidate will have:
- Knowledge and previous experience with aluminium, in a welding environment.
- Demonstrable aluminium welding experience.
