Location: TBC Conversions, 50 Far Circular Road

Main Purpose of Job
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be a key member of the TBC engineering team, executing various types of vehicle conversion to a high standard with customer satisfaction in mind.
TBC Conversions may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. Such a reserve list will be compiled and held for a period of 6 -12 months.

About The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Receiving the vehicle and carrying out pre-work inspection & paperwork.
- Reading and understanding customer specifications as per Job Card.
- Ability to produce quality work in the time allocated, and account for the quality produced.
Duties include:
- Ability to identify, remove and refit vehicle/electrical components in preparation for welding.
- Use of angle grinder, metal saw, induction heater, etc. in vehicle preparation.
- Ability to inspect and position new parts in preparation for welding.
- MIG welding – Light plate.
- Clean, body seal and refit components to allow vehicle to pass into build.
- Complete & sign all paperwork.

The Person
Candidates must:
- A mindset that prioritises health and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Have a good standard of education to include GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- Have at least 1 -2 years of welding experience in a similar environment.
- Be self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Understand technical information and drawings.
- Possess a strong team ethos in your work and always willing to provide support to co-workers.
- Be willing to continue to develop and learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Full driving licence.
It would be desirable, but not essential that candidates also have:
- Relevant qualifications e.g., City and Guilds, BTEC.

Required Criteria
- Right to work in the UK.
- Have a good standard of education to include GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
- Have at least 1 -2 years of welding/fabricating in a similar environment.

- Auto-electric experience and hold the relevant qualifications.
