Cranleigh STEM and Clean Energy Technology Company Partnership

Cranleigh STEM are partnering with an innovative UK clean energy technology company developing next-generation hydrogen power systems. As the business continues to develop and commercialise its technology, we're looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join its growing engineering and manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual to work on technically interesting projects, supporting the fabrication, assembly and development of specialist equipment used in hydrogen production and power generation.

The Role

Working closely with the engineering and prototype development teams, you'll be responsible for welding, fabricating and assembling mechanical components and structures to support the build of complex engineered systems.

The position would suit an experienced Welder or Fabricator who enjoys varied, precision-focused work rather than repetitive production welding, and takes pride in producing high-quality components.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
