About The Role

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Welder for a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Highbridge. This full-time, permanent position offers £17 per hour. Working within a skilled workshop team, the successful candidate will fabricate and weld components for industrial equipment. Duties include carrying out MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and other materials, working from engineering drawings and technical specifications, and measuring, cutting, preparing and fitting materials prior to welding. Completed work must meet required quality standards. This varied, hands-on role suits someone with proven welding experience who can work accurately within a busy manufacturing setting.

Welder

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Highbridge.

Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will be involved in the fabrication and welding of components used within industrial equipment. This is a varied, hands-on position offering the opportunity to work on a range of projects within a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role

  • Carrying out MIG and/or TIG welding on mild steel and other materials
  • Fabricating and welding components for industrial equipment
  • Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Measuring, cutting, preparing and fitting materials prior to welding
  • Ensuring completed welds meet the required quality standards
  • Inspecting finished work and identifying any defects or areas requiring adjustment
  • Using a range of workshop tools and fabrication equipment
  • Working alongside other members of the engineering team to meet production requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
  • Following all relevant health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Welder or Welder/Fabricator
  • Good experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Previous fabrication experience
  • Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment
  • Previous experience within engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous
