Welder/Fabricator

Welder/Fabricator will report to the Workshop Manager / Welding/Fabrication Supervisor. Duties will primarily comprise of Manufacture of welded components by the safe operation of equipment, as directed, observing appropriate quality and works order instructions, and any other tasks as requested.

What you'll be doing

  • Mig and/or Tig welding for a range of components relevant to the business (as per the required standard).
  • Grinding/dressing of components relevant to the business (as per the required standard).
  • Complete all other associated tasks within the welding department, including (but not limited to) marking out, cutting and hand forming etc.
  • Setting and operating of general sheet metal working equipment.
  • Completion of other tasks using equipment as required.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings for full production and sample parts.
  • Completion of all tasks required including packing and any other relevant duties.
  • First-off and in-process inspection in accordance with the current procedure / companies' requirements.
  • Clear and accurate completion of all company documentation (time sheets, route cards, and down time sheets etc).
  • Maintenance of work area in a neat and tidy fashion.

Who we are looking for

  • Weld certification BS EN ISO 9606-1 :2017 is required.
  • Can work unsupervised.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Be willing to undergo internal or external training, as directed.
  • Supervise employees are working in a safe and tidy manner.
