Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facility. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure. A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Responsibilities
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Aluminium and stainless steel TIG and MIG welding capability and experience.
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on more complex fabrication projects would be well regarded.
- Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Able to determine that weld meets EN and ASME code specifications.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely utilizes the operation of material handling equipment and various tools and machinery.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift and work with various materials and/or tools, as well as work and bend at different heights, in various temperatures, and be on feet for an extended period of time.
Qualifications
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW).
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
- Minimum five years welding and fabrication experience.
- Professional Certification (AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
