Welding Engineer – site-based (approx 3 mths)
£45 per hour (outside IR35) + 40 hour average week Mon-Fri + 1 hour paid travel/day @ £45/hr
Welding Engineer / Inspector responsibilities include:
- Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
- Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical / electrical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
- Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.

- An experienced Welding Engineer / Inspector, ideally min 10yrs background as a Welding Engineer & 5yrs in equipment inspections (including NDT & material control)
- HND / Degree in Welding / Fabrication or similar
- CSWIP 3.1/3.2 / TWI / MWeldI membership /quals
- Sound understanding and qualification in Materials, Welding and NDE techniques.
- Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries.
- Ability to work successfully in a team, giving guidance, support and training as and when necessary.
