Purpose Of The Position
As Welding NDT and Coating QC Supervisor you will ensure the supervision of Welding, NDT and Coating Inspection activities and verify Quality Control Plans implementation. You will Support the onshore Quality Engineer for Landfall and Outlet Facilities.
How can you support us?
Here below your responsibilities:
- Review and comment on Sub‑Contractor Quality Control Plans, procedures, method statements, and ITPs related to welding, NDT, and coating.
- Ensure submitted documents comply with project specifications, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
- Support evaluation of Sub‑Contractor QC personnel qualifications (welding inspectors, NDT technicians, coating inspectors).
- Verify certification validity (CSWIP, AWS, PCN, ASNT, NACE/ICorr).
- Ensure personnel are competent for the assigned tasks and familiar with project requirements.
- Support definition and implementation of QC Information System rules (document control, traceability, inspection records).
- Attend witness and hold points as defined in Sub‑Contractor ITPs for welding, NDT, and coating activities.
- Supervise subcontractor inspections and verify compliance with approved procedures.
- Review inspection reports, NDT results, coating inspection records, and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Verify that all tests, controls, and inspections are carried out according to approved QC Plans and ITPs.
- Verify proper collection, management, and storage of all quality documents:
- Ensure Sub‑Contractor documentation meets project turnover requirements for both prefabrication and site works

What are we looking for?
Experience: Experienced Multi-Disciplined Inspector with proven expertise in welding, coatings, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection activities within the oil and gas industry. Strong knowledge of welding and coating processes, inspection requirements, and defect identification. Previous hands-on welding and NDT inspection experience is essential.
Thorough understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control requirements, and project specifications.

Certification
- BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 Coating Inspector (or equivalent)
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
- Qualified in NDT inspection techniques, including:
- PCN Level 2 Penetrant Testing (PT)
- PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
What We Can Offer To You
- Contractor role 12 months, full time, outside IR35
- Location: Teesside
- Start date: As soon as possible
