Welfare and Attendance Officer: Enfield

Are you an experienced school administrator with a strong understanding of pupil welfare and attendance?

Reeson Education is recruiting for a Welfare and Attendance Officer to join a primary school in Enfield, North London, on a full-time basis.

The school is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, is confident working within a busy school environment and understands the importance of attendance, welfare, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

As the Welfare and Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for a range of attendance, welfare, and administrative duties, including:

  • Managing daily pupil attendance records
  • Monitoring attendance and punctuality
  • Following up unexplained absences
  • Communicating with parents and carers regarding attendance
  • Supporting the school's attendance improvement procedures
  • Recording pupil welfare information accurately
  • Responding to pupils who are unwell or require first aid
  • Providing appropriate support for minor injuries and illnesses
  • Liaising with teachers, senior leaders, and families
  • Maintaining confidential pupil records
  • Supporting the school's safeguarding and welfare procedures

About You

The successful candidate must have previous school experience and ideally have worked within a primary school office, welfare, or attendance environment.

You Will Also Need

  • Previous UK school experience: essential
  • First Aid qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid training: essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong administration and organizational skills
  • A calm and approachable manner
  • Confidence communicating with parents and staff
  • An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize effectively

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

8:30am to 4:00pm

Immediate start

Location: Enfield, North London


This is a great opportunity for an experienced Welfare and Attendance Officer / School Administrator who is ready to join a primary school and make an immediate contribution to its attendance and pupil welfare provision.
