About the Role
Leah Lodge, based in Blackheath, is a 48-bedded care home that specializes in dementia care. We are currently seeking a Wellbeing and Lifestyle Lead to join our team. This role involves working 32 hours per week, including some weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Activities and Volunteer Programme: Develop and manage a successful activities and volunteer program within the home.
- Communication: Manage internal and external communication about activities-focused programs for our residents.
- Activity Planning: Introduce appropriate activities for older people that support independence and identify activities in the surrounding areas to help residents integrate into the local community.
- Event Organization: Help organize fundraising events and special events such as Christmas entertainment, Ascot, Royal Occasion, etc.
- Monthly Program: Help produce a monthly program of events to be discussed with the General Manager of the home.
- Engagement: Encourage residents and team members to participate in the home's activities program.
- Maintenance: Maintain posters and notice boards within the home.
