About the Role

Leah Lodge, based in Blackheath, is a 48-bedded care home that specializes in dementia care. We are currently seeking a Wellbeing and Lifestyle Lead to join our team. This role involves working 32 hours per week, including some weekend working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Activities and Volunteer Programme: Develop and manage a successful activities and volunteer program within the home.
  • Communication: Manage internal and external communication about activities-focused programs for our residents.
  • Activity Planning: Introduce appropriate activities for older people that support independence and identify activities in the surrounding areas to help residents integrate into the local community.
  • Event Organization: Help organize fundraising events and special events such as Christmas entertainment, Ascot, Royal Occasion, etc.
  • Monthly Program: Help produce a monthly program of events to be discussed with the General Manager of the home.
  • Engagement: Encourage residents and team members to participate in the home's activities program.
  • Maintenance: Maintain posters and notice boards within the home.
