Wellbeing Key Worker
The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for a Wellbeing Key Worker. Through the delivery of a range of guidance and training services for customers under the supervision of National Probation Service, the successful candidate will contribute to individuals’ sustained improvement in health and wellbeing. progression into employment, training and education.

Personal Wellbeing supports men on probation to build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. Through tailored one-to-one support, we help individuals improve their wellbeing, strengthen relationships, overcome challenges, and develop the tools they need to move forward and create a more positive future.
Role Overview
The role is based in Preston and will involve working across Probation sites throughout Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure service users receive a personalised wellbeing offer that meets their individual needs and levels of complexity.
- Manage a caseload of service users to achieve agreed targets and positive wellbeing outcomes.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments, including screening for learning difficulties and disabilities (LDD).
- Produce high-quality, strength-based action plans that support service user progress.
- Deliver one-to-one support, group workshops and digital interventions to service users.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging group sessions that promote wellbeing and personal development.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local services, including signposting and case conferencing.
- Ensure compliance with wellbeing contract requirements and organisational policies.

About You
- You have experience supporting individuals to improve their wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes.
- You have experience managing a caseload and working effectively in a target-driven environment.
- You are confident delivering both one-to-one and group-based interventions.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with service users and partners.
- You can engage and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those within the criminal justice system.
- You are committed to continuous professional development and acting on feedback to improve your practice.
- You have a good understanding of safeguarding, health and wellbeing support services, and quality delivery standards.
- You are passionate about helping people make sustainable and positive life changes.
Skills Required
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment with a focus on achieving successful outcomes.
- Ability to deliver effective one-to-one and group sessions.
- Ability to use digital channels and platforms to support service delivery.
- Experience developing and implementing strength-based action plans.
- Detailed knowledge of local health and wellbeing support services across statutory and community sectors.
- Understanding of quality and compliance requirements within a criminal justice or probation setting.
- Strong partnership-working, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Relevant training or knowledge in areas such as Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, Substance Misuse Awareness, ACEs, Suicide Prevention or Domestic Abuse is desirable.
