A Joy Architect, A Smile Creator and A Wish Maker

What if your day job was to bring magic, laughter and purpose to an incredible group of people?

At Acomb Manor, we don't believe that moving into a care home means hitting the pause button on life. We firmly believe it is the beginning of a new chapter, filled with new experiences, new friendships and endless opportunities to continue living life to the fullest.

As part of the trusted St Mary's Care Group, we're preparing to welcome the very first residents into our beautiful new luxury care home. We're looking for an extraordinary Wellbeing Lead, who will help shape the heart and soul of our community from day one.

We need someone with imagination, energy and vision.

Someone who sees a rainy afternoon not as a challenge, but as an opportunity.

A beach party in the lounge.

A cocktail and mocktail afternoon.

A singalong that sparks treasured memories.

A trivia showdown that brings out everyone's competitive side.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who will encourage our residents to hold the pen and continue writing their own story.

Who We Are

At Acomb Manor, we don't just provide care.

We create a home where laughter is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, friendships flourish and every resident is supported to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we believe wellbeing extends far beyond physical care. It is about purpose, connection, confidence, enjoyment and creating moments that matter.

Who You Are

The Ultimate Connector

You see the individual before the condition.

You take time to understand people's stories, interests and passions, building genuine relationships and helping every resident rediscover what brings them joy.

Fearlessly Creative

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Whether you're organising chair exercises, carpet bowls, baking sessions, gardening projects or community events, you bring enthusiasm, positivity and contagious energy wherever you go.

A Dream Maker

When a resident tells you they wish they could visit their favourite football stadium one more time, your first thought is:

"How can I make that happen?"

You understand that some of the most meaningful moments come from helping wishes become reality.

A Natural Empathiser

You know that wellbeing isn't always about large events and packed calendars.

Sometimes it's sharing a coffee and conversation.

Listening to a cherished story.

Looking through old photographs.

Or simply being there when someone needs a friendly face.

What Your Days Could Look Like

No two days will ever be the same, but every day will matter.

You'll be responsible for creating opportunities that enrich lives, encourage independence and bring happiness to our residents.

Designing Meaningful Experiences

Creating and delivering a varied programme of activities that stimulate the mind, support wellbeing and encourage participation.

Building Community Connections

Working closely with local schools, colleges, nurseries, community groups, musicians, charities and faith organisations to ensure residents remain connected with the wider community.

Getting to Know Our Residents

Taking time to understand individual life stories, hobbies, interests and aspirations so that activities are truly person-centred.

Creating Lasting Memories

Capturing special moments and achievements that residents and families can treasure for years to come.

Supporting Individual Wellbeing

Providing one-to-one engagement and meaningful interactions for residents who may prefer quieter activities or require additional support.

Celebrating Every Occasion

Organising events, seasonal celebrations, themed experiences and special activities that bring excitement and enjoyment throughout the year.
