Starting salary from £38,784 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £46,049 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and values-driven Wellbeing Manager to join the University of East Anglia’s Wellbeing Service.
The Wellbeing Manager (Advice & Engagement) is a key role within Student Journey and Support Services team. Working closely with the Head of Wellbeing, Heads of Department and other senior colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in leading, developing and delivering high-quality wellbeing and disability provision for students.
- Operational responsibility for the Wellbeing Advisory Service
- Day-to-day leadership and line management to a team of Wellbeing Advisers
- Offering advice and guidance on casework
- Monitoring demand, capacity, and waiting times
- Ensuring agreed performance targets are met
- Supporting students in a holistic, timely, and student-centred way

A core aspect of the role is supporting the University to meet its statutory responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, including the provision of reasonable adjustments, and promoting inclusive practice across the institution. You will contribute to service development, operational planning, reporting on key performance indicators, staff recruitment and development, and the promotion of wellbeing and disabled student support.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience of working in student wellbeing, disability and/or mental health support and/or contribution to service delivery and operational planning.
- Strong understanding of the higher education environment.
- Confident leading and supporting staff in a demanding setting.
- Experience of working within policy frameworks, managing competing priorities and contributing to service improvement is essential.
The post is available immediately on an indefinite basis and can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.8 FTE).
