In Social Justice, we work with young people and adults in custody and in the community, providing a range of services including offender management and resettlement, mentoring, veterans in custody, victim services, gangs work and youth justice. We believe that with effective support mechanisms and the correct interventions, we can change service user’s ideology, helping them desist from crime and reach their true potential.
Job Description
We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team in Bristol, United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering comprehensive wellbeing support and interventions. You will work collaboratively with service users, internal teams, and external partners to promote holistic health, emotional resilience, and personal development. Your role will be instrumental in helping individuals develop practical strategies to enhance their overall wellbeing and quality of life.
- Deliver personalized wellbeing interventions and support programs tailored to individual service user needs across multiple wellbeing pathways
- Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to help service users manage emotions, build self-confidence, and foster emotional resilience
- Provide skills training and coaching to empower service users in managing daily living activities and building independence
- Conduct thorough assessments of service user needs and create comprehensive wellbeing plans in collaboration with clients
- Advocate for service users and coordinate with multi-agency partners, including health professionals, support groups, and community organizations
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with service users through empathetic and transparent communication
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of service user progress, interventions, and outcomes while ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance
- Collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives and deliver measurable outcomes
- Identify and connect service users with appropriate resources, support services, and community programs
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and team meetings to enhance service delivery
- Travel within the Bristol area and to partner locations as required to deliver services and attend meetings
Qualifications
Essential
- Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (travel within Bristol and surrounding areas required)
- Good basic education, including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
- Proven experience working with vulnerable, disadvantaged, or marginalized populations
- Strong understanding of emotional wellbeing support principles and holistic health approaches
- Knowledge of local partners, statutory agencies, and community-based services in the Bristol area
- Demonstrated understanding of risk assessment, risk management, and safeguarding principles for both adults and children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Awareness of data protection, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance requirements
- Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred
- Relevant qualification or certification in rehabilitation, criminology, criminal justice, social care, mental health, information and guidance, family services, emotional wellbeing, or social inclusion
- Experience working within the criminal justice system or with individuals with complex needs
- Knowledge of wellbeing frameworks and evidence-based intervention models
- Experience with service user outcome tracking and performance reporting
- Familiarity with multi-agency working and partnership approaches

Contract: Permanent
Hours & work pattern: Full time 38 hours per week.
Salary band: £26,097.00
