SUMMARY
The Wellsite Technician I is responsible for performing both onshore and offshore duties, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical expertise. The role involves executing analytical services, regular interactions with clients, maintaining equipment, adhering to company procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. The Wellsite Technician I plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards expected by the company and its clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be available for offshore assignments as required, ensuring flexibility and readiness to mobilise.
- Competently execute two of the analytical services carried out offshore, including but not limited to:
- PVT sampling
- Water analysis
- Oil analysis
- Gas analysis
- Compositional gas analysis (GC)
- Core catching
- Scale inhibitor squeezes
- Laboratory technician duties
- Deliver services at the well site with minimal supervision, strictly adhering to documented work instructions, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and company QA/QC procedures.
- Conduct laboratory analyses on samples of oil, gas, water, and rocks across PVT, Chemistry, Rocks, or GC laboratories as required.
- Prepare, calibrate, maintain, and pack equipment to ensure operational readiness for immediate deployment to offshore installations.
- Maintain a functional, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with company safety regulations, as well as identifying and reporting any unsafe practices.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including worksheets, data forms, calibration, maintenance records, time sheets, and service documents, ensuring proper filing and distribution.
- Prepare comprehensive and timely reports for all assignments.
- Attend and actively participate in training seminars, safety meetings, and departmental meetings to enhance technical knowledge and operational awareness.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and the achievement of ISO 9001:2015 objectives.
- Assist in training other personnel, sharing knowledge, and fostering skill development as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of personnel movements and time sheets, ensuring proper compliance with documented instructions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.

- Demonstrate personal accountability for legal compliance and ethical behavior at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant laboratory experience, including exposure to analytical testing and data processing.
- Educated to a minimum HNC or equivalent in a science subject, or relevant experience.
- Valid BOSIET and MIST offshore survival qualifications (desirable).
- Valid UK driving licence (desirable).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Comprehensive understanding of documented procedures, work instructions, and guidelines relevant to the role.
- Proficiency in identifying, reporting all non-conformances, and issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Proficiency in following ISO 9001:2015 standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Flexibility to adapt to offshore and onshore work environments.
- Ability to protect and respect the confidentiality of company and client information at all times.
- Ability to follow company safety policies by performing all duties safely, actively addressing all unsafe practices, and reporting them immediately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- International travel will be required for certain offshore projects.
