Welsh Speaking Sports Coach & PE Cover Supervisor
Location: Llanelli & Carmarthenshire Area
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Temporary Supply
Salary: £120 Per Day, Weekly Pay
About the Role
Equal Education Partners are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Welsh Speaking Sports Coaches to work across secondary schools throughout Carmarthenshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for sport, physical education, and working with young people. The role combines sports coaching with classroom supervision responsibilities, making it ideal for coaches, sports graduates, aspiring PE teachers, or individuals with experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging sports sessions, supporting PE departments, leading extracurricular activities where required, and supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff while ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and on task.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions to secondary school pupils.
- Support Physical Education departments during lessons and sporting activities.
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles through sport and physical activity.
- Support schools with extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events where required.
- Build positive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff.
- Adapt to different school environments, subjects, and year groups.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment at all times.

Essential
- Fluent Welsh speaker.
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Confident working with secondary school-aged pupils (11–16 years).
- Flexible, professional, and reliable approach to work.
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
