Sales Support Professional – Preston Office

Tom Parker Ltd, the UK’s largest independent distributor of pneumatic, hydraulic, and Fluid Power Solutions, is expanding our dynamic Business Development team.

Established in 1972 and family-run for over 50 years, we proudly stock and distribute more than 30,000 high-quality products in our newly launched 2026-27 fluid power catalogue, with high quality connection solutions featured from 70+ world-class brands. With our Preston headquarters and nationwide reach, we deliver same-day despatch, expert advice, and exceptional service to industries across the UK.

We are now seeking a proactive, enthusiastic Sales Support Professional to play a key role in our growing Business Development team.

About The Role

  • Full-time, office-based (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm) at our Preston HQ.
  • You will support our sales team by managing inbound/outbound customer interactions, processing orders, preparing quotations, qualifying leads and contributing to sales growth through proactive outreach.

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in phone-based customer interactions and outbound calling
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to multitask in a busy environment
  • Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or a similar role is desirable
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Proactive mindset with a positive, can-do attitude and commitment to results

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, qualify, and manage new and existing sales leads using our organised systems
  • Accurately process, track and fulfil sales orders to ensure seamless delivery
  • Provide prompt, high-quality customer support, resolving queries and delivering outstanding after-sales service
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records, databases and sales reports
  • Support sales strategy development and process improvements
  • Conduct warm and cold calling to promote our products, brands, and services in line with set sales targets
