Role Description

As a Digital Cloud Solution Architecture Manager for Western Europe

you will lead a team of 9 DCSAs (Digital Cloud Solution Architects) that cover Western Europe to deliver on the promise of CAIP and assist customers in achieving their digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and coaching skills of the DCSAs to deliver a successful customer transformation aligned to business needs.
  • Enhance cross-team collaboration skills by supporting the sales team’s quota retirement.
  • Enhance communications skills managing a geographically dispersed organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the DCSAs to deliver Azure based solutions to customers to drive adoption and consumption of CAIP workloads across our latest cloud technologies.
  • Coach and develop the DCSA to build trust and expand the use of Azure beyond the initial project the DCSA is supporting.
  • Partner closely with STU, partners, Partner teams, and regional leadership to drive committed pipeline creation, accelerate customer adoption, and ensure execution against Azure consumption and revenue growth objectives across Western Europe.

Microsoft is seeking managers with a deep interest in cutting-edge technology to join the SME&C Customer & Partner Success organisation as a Digital CSA Manager (DCSA) team lead. In this role, you will manage a team of highly talented and skilled deeply technical CAIP DCSAs, driving the day-to-day execution to exceed business performance targets and coaching team members.

You will own the Western Europe CAIP DCSA business rhythm, partnering with Sales leadership on the all-up WE CAIP IAR to drive pipeline health, forecast accuracy, territory planning, and strategic account execution. Success in this role requires balancing technical and commercial leadership, people development, and business management to deliver consistent customer impact and business outcomes across the region.

You will be responsible for the Western Europe CAIP committed pipeline and related ACR/NNR numbers, customer relationship development experience (Consulting, Business Development) and generate trust, build alliances.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coach, manage and evaluate 9 CAIP DCSAs by setting a clear bar for excellence. Manage a high-performing, deeply technical team that will be diverse and inclusive with a typical team size of 10+ employees. Coaches team to plan portfolio growth and utilizes portfolio plans to build industry/team plan, leveraging own expertise and hands-on experiences.
  • Are a strategic partner to executive-level business and technical decision makers (e.g., C-level, school system leaders) to guide customers in defining and realizing their digital and business transformational targets. Leverages expertise in relationship building and influencing to mentor team in building strategic partnerships.
  • Coach and enable your team to accelerate Azure projects to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration. Lead team to actively engage accounts to drive services consumption and up-sell and cross-sell based on strategic plans and needs.
  • Lead team to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets (ACR, NNR, pipe generation contributions) and accurately manage in CRM the forecast, and assess risk, while ensuring proper CRM hygiene. Identify performance plans in weekly deal and pipeline reviews with management.
  • Drive disciplined forecast management and inspection processes with both DCSA and Sales leadership teams, ensuring clear accountability for committed business and predictable execution against regional targets.
  • Support and enable the team to drive customer change and optimization of change management by applying deep knowledge of change management principles, creating influence strategies with decision makers to scale change across organizational boundaries, and articulating alignment between customer culture and digital transformation.
  • Own the DCSA CAIP rhythm of business across Western Europe and contribute to WE CAIP ROBs and IARs, including regular pipeline and forecast reviews, committed pipeline inspection, territory planning, opportunity acceleration, and executive stakeholder engagement. Partner with STU leadership and partner teams to identify growth opportunities, mitigate execution risks, and drive accountability for Azure business outcomes.
  • Lead strategic account and territory planning with Sales Units, ensuring DCSA investments are aligned to the highest-impact customer opportunities, business priorities, and growth motions. Drive execution excellence through effective prioritisation, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (RQs)

  • Experience in technical sales and/or technical architecture, technical consulting, solution design and implementation, cloud solution delivery, customer success
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and experience in technical architecture, technical consulting, solution design and implementation, cloud solution delivery, customer success, and/or technical sales
  • OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or relevant platforms and experience in technical architecture, technical consulting, solution design and implementation, cloud solution delivery, customer success, and/or technical sales
  • Cross-team lead experience.
  • Demonstrated Cloud + AI Platform (CAIP) expertise (ideally L200+), with the ability to coach technical sellers and solution architects and lead customer transformation discussions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cloud consumption models, customer adoption motions, and the commercial drivers of Azure growth.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field and experience in technical architecture, cloud consulting, solution delivery, customer success, technical sales, or technology leadership.
  • People management experience leading high-performing technical or customer-facing teams.
  • Understanding of the CAIP business, including Azure solution plays, customer transformation journeys, and consumption-based growth motions.
  • Commercial mindset with experience driving pipeline creation, forecasting, opportunity acceleration, ACR, NNR, or similar business growth metrics.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Customer Success, Partner, and executive stakeholders to drive territory planning, pipeline generation, strategic account execution, and regional business performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and operate an effective Rhythm of Business (RoB), including pipeline reviews, forecast management, and business planning.
  • AZ-104 and AZ-305 certification (or equivalent AWS/GCP cloud architecture certifications), or willingness to obtain certification within the first 3 months of employment.

Pay

  • The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 80,000.00 - € 151,700.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
