Job title: Wetpour Installation Team Leader
Location: South of Solihull, West Midlands
Salary: From £40,000, with £42,000 to £48,000+ available for someone bringing strong groundworks and team leadership experience.
Job type: Permanent, PAYE
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist in play and sports surfacing who are offering a genuine long-term opportunity to join a practical, experienced team delivering high-quality outdoor projects across the UK.
Candidates may currently be working under titles such as Wetpour Team Leader, Lead Wetpour Installer, Lead Screeder, Surfacing Installation Team Leader, Surfacing Team Leader, Playground Installation Team Leader or Surfacing Foreman.
What you will be doing
- Lead and work alongside a small installation team on projects across the UK.
- Set out work and check levels, depths, bases, edges and drainage before installation begins, using a digger or dumper where required.
- Mix, pour, screed and hand-trowel SBR and EPDM wetpour systems.
- Take responsibility for joins, wearing courses, coloured sections, patterns and marked-out areas.
- Keep projects organised, safe, on programme and finished to a high standard.
- Support and develop other team members and communicate professionally on site.

Requirements
Essential requirements
- Proven hands-on wetpour or rubber safety-surfacing installation experience.
- Strong screeding, trowelling, levelling and finishing ability.
- Experience leading a small team and taking responsibility for quality and site delivery.
- Full UK driving licence, current CSCS card and relevant current digger and dumper tickets, with practical operating experience.
- Willingness to travel countrywide and stay away when projects require it.
- Willingness to complete the appropriate Enhanced DBS check because the work includes school sites.
Useful additional experience
- Groundworks, drainage, base preparation, civils or landscaping experience.
- MUGA, playground, sports surfacing, resin-bound or artificial-grass experience.

Benefits
Package and working pattern
- Monday to Friday. Full-time, permanent PAYE. Flexibility is required to travel across the UK and stay away from home for all or part of the working week when projects require it. Candidates must also be able to travel to the wider Solihull area for team, vehicle and warehouse requirements. The exact premises will be shared with suitable candidates.
- Company van and fuel card.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Paid hotel accommodation and a daily subsistence allowance when staying away.
- For longer stays, Airbnb or similar self-contained accommodation may be arranged, with a kitchen, living room and bedroom.
