The Role
The Finance Assistants role is to accurately register all invoices ensuring that all items are appropriately matched to PO and/or approved in time to ensure that suppliers are paid to agreed terms. We are looking for a permanent team member to join our Sales and Takings team. This part-time position is based in our Weymouth office and is spread across five days per week.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform reconciliation of cash receipts for all tender types
- Highlight, communicate and resolve any banking differences with Internal Audit, stores, and the banks in order to minimize store cash losses to an acceptable level
- Front line support to stores on all till and banking issues
- Maintain Control Accounts to ensure all items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner
- Highlight any areas of potential fraud (internal or external) or training requirements to Internal Audit and Retail Operations
- This role may require the team member to support other areas of the wider Transaction Processing team including but not limited to supplier statement reconciliation and ledger account reconciliation

Who You Are

- Previous experience in a Finance department and ideally with ledgers
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Pass grade GCSE Maths & English
- Qualification by experience acceptable
