They deliver innovative marketing, brand, and commercial initiatives while supporting over 1,800 pharmacy partners with tailored procurement, sales, and logistics solutions.


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Buyer to join our Beauty & Pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing product categories, negotiating with suppliers, driving commercial performance, and ensuring optimal stock availability. A key aspect of this role is proactively identifying, sourcing, and onboarding new brands and suppliers that align with customer needs, market trends, and business growth objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Buying & Category Management

  • Develop and implement category buying strategies for Beauty and Pharmacy product ranges, with a key focus on new and emerging beauty trends.
  • Manage product selection, pricing, promotions, and assortment planning to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform buying decisions.
  • Forecast demand and work closely with supply chain teams to ensure appropriate stock levels and minimise out-of-stocks.
  • Monitor inventory performance and take corrective actions to optimise stock turn and reduce excess inventory.
  • Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, trading terms, promotional support, and rebate agreements.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure strong commercial partnerships and service levels.

Brand & Supplier Sourcing

  • Proactively identify and source new beauty, wellness, healthcare, and pharmacy brands that support business growth and customer demand.
  • Research emerging trends, innovative products, and new market opportunities within the beauty and pharmacy sectors.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, supplier meetings, and networking opportunities to identify potential brand partnerships.
  • Evaluate prospective suppliers and brands based on commercial viability, product quality, compliance requirements, and strategic fit.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new suppliers, working cross-functionally with regulatory, finance, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential new suppliers and brand opportunities.
  • Present business cases and recommendations for introducing new products and brands.

  • Work closely with Marketing to develop promotional plans and successful product launches.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth product availability and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance to achieve margin, sales, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure all products and suppliers meet relevant regulatory, quality, and compliance standards.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Buying, Category Management, or Procurement role, preferably within Beauty, Pharmacy, Health & Wellness, FMCG, or Retail.
  • Strong track record of supplier negotiation and relationship management.
  • Experience sourcing and developing new supplier and brand partnerships.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into profitable opportunities.
  • Strong influencing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and buying/planning systems.
  • Strong knowledge of beauty, healthcare, pharmacy, or wellness markets is highly desirable.
  • Highly proactive, with a natural curiosity for discovering new beauty brands, products, and suppliers.
