Job Description
Join DLL to help us build the UK Wholesale equipment-based financing portfolio. Wholesale is an important growth driver that is being scaled, which creates this role opportunity.
At DLL, we work in the dynamic global equipment-based financing industry. We enable global Wholesale clients (revenues EUR >250mln, including clients of Rabobank) to grow, invest and innovate to reach their business goals.
Role Overview
As a Wholesale/Corporate Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Working alongside the Relationship Team, advising, analyzing, underwriting, and helping frame documentation to enable the growth of the equipment financing portfolio.
- Overseeing in-life portfolio management, including covenant compliance, for this growing portfolio.

Your Mission
- Responsible for supporting the Relationship team in engaging and growing long term client relationships, with a leading role in analyzing, underwriting, and managing credit risk across corporate and wholesale lending portfolios.
- The role supports new business origination through deal team process management leading to credit applications for decisioning, ongoing portfolio monitoring, and disciplined risk management.
In addition, you will:
- Engage proactively with the Relationship Team to support commercial objectives.
- Help structure complex lending solutions, often linked to wider Rabobank senior financing arrangements.
- Help manage end-to-end transaction process with stakeholders including Relationship Team, Risk, Legal, and Product teams.
- Own and lead credit analysis for new transactions from origination through approval, including engaging with the client to source understanding and help build the relationship with DLL.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including cash flow modelling, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Evaluate business models, management quality, and sector-specific risks.
- Prepare, review, and present high quality and balanced credit applications to credit committees and senior stakeholders across DLL / Rabobank.
- Ensure adherence to credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
- Help with developing transaction documentation suitable for contracting the solutions created / approved to ensure transactions are closed in line with client expectations.
- Monitor portfolio performance including covenant compliance and early warning indicators, whilst driving annual reviews.
- Identify and escalate emerging risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Drive efficiency in deal execution and credit decision turnaround times.
- Contribute to portfolio reporting, sector insights, and risk analytics.
- Coach and mentor team members and share best practices.

Skills And Capabilities Required
- Strong knowledge of structured finance, asset-based lending solutions, and how to document the approved solution and monitor in-life performance.
- Extensive (10+ years) experience of conducting credit risk analysis / credit application preparation / supporting solution delivery in corporate lending environments.
- Promotes a customer-centric approach, building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and capable stakeholder influencer.
- Ability to work autonomously, while collaborating across multiple teams, and juggling multiple priorities / deadlines.
- Continuous improvement and growth mindset.
- Prior people management experience would be an upside attribute.
