As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorganChase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Our culture is about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo, and striving to be best-in-class—while operating with integrity and discipline in all that we do.

As a Vice President or Associate in the EMEA Emerging Markets Credit team, you will cover corporate and financial institution clients across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). You will work closely with business partners across the region including Debt Capital Markets, Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, M&A, Corporate Bank, Markets, Treasury Services, and Trade Finance. Given the broad sector and client base covered, we focus on performing credit analysis on investment grade and non-investment grade clients across corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign-related entities, as well as structuring and documenting a wide variety of credit products.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as the credit expert for a portfolio of clients in the region, with primary responsibility for credit exposure.
  • Manage clients across industries including corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign-related entities, including monitoring credit ratings, sector trends, and client performance.
  • Lead due diligence, credit analysis, and financial modelling of counterparties, transactions, and complex financing structures; drive preparation of credit memos and recommend appropriate structure, risk appetite, and grading.
  • Work across products including secured and unsecured loans, derivatives, trade and treasury products, and related documentation; lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of loan documentation, derivatives, and other facilities.
  • Make sound credit recommendations and own the credit approval decision.
  • Balance a commercial and solution-driven mindset with a sound risk and controls attitude.
  • Track market and industry developments and their impact on clients, keeping up to date with the political and macroeconomic environment and maintaining in-depth knowledge of portfolio clients.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and foster team knowledge.
  • Coach and train junior team members on technical and professional skills (leading or as part of a portfolio team).
  • Meet clients and lead due diligence meetings

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
