Wholesale Sales Manager | Wiltshire (field-based, with travel to trade shows & customers) | £50,000(c) DOE | Permanent, Full-Time

Our client is a Wiltshire-based, mother-and-daughter brand built around a love of colour, craftsmanship and timeless design. From block-print tablecloths and napkins to country-chic jackets, gilets and bags, every piece is designed to bring a little joy to everyday life.

The Story So Far

What started as a family passion project has grown into a wholesale business trusted by approximately 160 independent retailers across the UK, and have been featured in Tatler, Vogue, Condé Nast, House & Garden, Vanity Fair and the Evening Standard along the way. They are proud, hands-on, and still very much a founder led business who are now ready to make their very first dedicated sales appointment.

The Opportunity

This is a brand new position and a genuinely exciting one. You will be responsible for taking ownership of wholesale sales, working directly alongside the two founders as they grow. You'll help find and win new independent retail stockists across the UK (and, in time, Europe), while nurturing the relationships already built.

It's a hands on, relationship led role for someone who loves getting out and meeting people as much as they enjoy building a pipeline. Someone who can bring structure and ambition to a small, entrepreneurial business without losing the personal touch that got them here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building strong, long-term relationships with our existing stockists and key accounts
  • Researching and identifying new independent retailers who'd be a great fit for the brand.
  • Developing and managing a pipeline of prospective customers, from first approach through to a new trading relationship
  • Representing the business at trade shows, exhibitions and customer meetings
  • Following up warmly on leads and conversations from events
  • Supporting new product and range launches with our existing customer base
  • Using sales and customer data to spot opportunities and track performance
  • Feeding customer insight and market feedback back to the founders
  • Getting stuck into the wider needs of a growing small business - no task too big or small

Who We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, account management or wholesale/retail sales
  • A track record of genuinely winning new business, not just managing accounts you inherited
  • Confidence researching and approaching prospects, and creating your own opportunities
  • Excellent relationship building and people skills - this is a warm, consultative sales style, not a hard sell
  • A structured, organised approach to managing your own pipeline and diary
  • Comfort working in a small, founder-led business - happy to build your own processes rather than relying on layers of corporate structure
  • A genuine affinity for their world: country chic homeware, boho leaning fashion and timeless, colourful design. If you love browsing brands like Anthropologie, Oka Sezane or Laura Ashley, or you already have a feel for the independent boutique and gift market, you'll fit right in and speak our customers' language from day one
  • Experience in wholesale, lifestyle, gifting or homeware is a bonus, but we're keeping an open mind on sector background. What matters most is your ability to open doors, build relationships and help play a major part in growing a business with huge exciting ambition.
