ABOUT THE JOB

Max Mara is looking for a hands-on and highly organised Wholesale Sales Manager to join our Wholesale team, focusing on the United Kingdom and Ireland. The role will be responsible for Max Mara Fashion Group collections in the region, maintaining key relationships across wholesale accounts and developing existing and potential accounts in line with the Company guidelines and distribution strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sales manager with deep knowledge of the industry and an excellent understanding of the ready-to-wear womenswear landscape, willing to go the extra mile in maximising sales opportunities and providing high-level customer service to our network of wholesale clients.

  • Manage Sales Campaign four times a year in London showroom. Manage seasonal Sales Exhibitions and Off-Site Sales Events;
  • Meet and exceed individual sales target by Market/Distribution Channel and contribute to reaching Max Mara team goals;
  • Manage Orders and serve as the primary contact with the client, dealing with post-sales requests (commercials, deliveries, payments, returns etc.);
  • Plan and schedule regular visits to existing and potential partners, building a network within the industry to ensure the continuous development of Max Mara businesses;
  • Build strong relationships with business partners as well as internal stakeholders, with a focus but not limited, head office based teams, retail and visual merchandising team, wholesale team, operations and admin;
  • Partner with the Showroom Management Team to facilitate market set up: manage market temps, samples, showroom, models;
  • Support the Business Development team in defining the distribution strategy for the collections and plan ahead of each selling window.

  • A high level of organisation and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, eager to learn and able to handle pressure and deadlines;
  • Highly adaptable and multifaceted, can comfortably work with independent stores, online retailers and department stores;
  • Team player, positive attitude, reliable, transparent, and enjoy working with different types of people.

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of Wholesale experience in a showroom environment.
  • Solid product knowledge and visual merchandising skills. Experience in womenswear and accessories;
  • Proven track record in sales and in establishing positive relationships with key accounts and independent stores;
  • Deep knowledge of the UK market;
  • Excellent reporting and analytic skills, both quantitative and qualitative;
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills;
  • Willingness to travel, driving licence is required;
  • Sophisticated communication skills in English. Knowledge of Italian is preferred but not required;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines & priorities in an organised manner;

Travels to Max Mara Headquarters in Italy four times a year are required. This position requires flexibility and availability to travel in the UK and Rep of Ireland for 10-12 weeks/year in normal circumstances.
