About The Role
The Wholesale Supply Manager is responsible for leading the wholesale supply planning function, ensuring the right products are available at the right time to support customer demand while optimising inventory, service levels, and working capital. The role provides leadership to a team of Category Supply Managers, who in turn manage Stock Managers, creating a high-performing planning organisation across multiple product categories.
Working closely with Commercial, Trading, Logistics, Finance, IT, and offshore Supply Chain teams, the Wholesale Supply Manager will drive continuous improvement of supply planning processes, embed best practices, and ensure operational excellence across the end-to-end planning cycle.
The role will also lead the business adoption of new supply chain processes, support the implementation of a new forecasting and replenishment solution from a business perspective, and manage strategic supply chain projects as required. A separate Programme/System Implementation Manager will own the technical implementation of the new solution, while this role is accountable for ensuring the planning function is operationally ready and successfully adopts new ways of working.

Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate
- Having leadership and people management experience, you will be able to lead, coach and develop a team of Category Supply Managers, whilst building leadership capability in others.
- Foster a high-performance culture, setting clear objectives, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ability to develop people and support succession planning within the team.
- To drive improvements in forecast accuracy, replenishment and inventory productivity by regularly reviewing KPI’s with experience of the implementation of corrective action where necessary.
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- Have experience of business improvement process, supply planning and championing continuous improvement processes across the wider supply chain.
- Ability to review and improve future planning processes, driving operational readiness, implement new ways of working and driving organisational change.
- Experience of working with geographical dispersed and offshore teams, guiding clear operating models, responsibilities and service expectations whilst working collaboratively.
- Experience Of Inventory Optimisation And Reporting Financial Benefits.

Desirable
- Experience supporting implementation of planning technology such as Blue Yonder, RELEX, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, Anaplan or similar forecasting and replenishment solutions.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
- APICS/CPIM or equivalent Supply Chain qualification.
- Experience within international or multi-site organisations.
