About This Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Intern to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced cybersecurity professionals, gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity, and contribute to our organization's efforts to safeguard our digital assets. This is a paid internship position, with a flexible work schedule, and it is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will be responsible for assisting our cybersecurity team in various tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents to detect and respond to potential security threats.
- Assisting in the implementation and management of cybersecurity controls and technologies.
- Conducting research on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.

Requirements
To join our team as a cybersecurity intern, you must possess some or all of the following skills and experience:
- Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, such as risk management, threat intelligence, and incident response.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ are a plus.
