We have been retained by a corporate insurer with a well-established presence across the international transactional risk market is looking a W&I Underwriter to have a particular focus on Southern Europe. This is an opportunity to join a business with genuine global reach, working alongside a collegiate team of underwriters who collaborate closely across jurisdictions on complex, cross-border deals.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the underwriting process from initial triage through to policy issuance, working directly with brokers, legal counsel and deal teams to assess and price risk across a broad spread of M&A transactions.
Key Requirements:
- Fluency in French or Italian is essential, given the volume of instructions originating from these territories and the need to liaise directly with local counsel and clients on deal specifics.
- Candidates must have W&I experience from either underwriting or broking and will be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy on live transactions.
