Experienced Wind Turbine Technician / Travel Technician

Vortex Renewable Services Ltd

We’re Looking For Technicians With Experience On:

  • Vestas
  • Siemens
  • Gamesa
  • Senvion
  • GE

Experience across multiple platforms is highly desirable, although we welcome applications from technicians with strong experience on any of the above.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work safely at height.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home for up to 2 weeks when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on onshore wind turbines.
  • Perform major component exchanges, including:
    • Gearboxes
    • Generators
    • Main shafts
    • Blade bearings
    • Transformers
  • Complete servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Support retrofit, upgrade, and modification campaigns across multiple turbine technologies.
  • Undertake troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Assist with walk-downs, site support, and manpower requirements for customer projects.
  • Complete all service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, client, and industry health and safety procedures.
  • Represent Vortex Renewable Services professionally while building strong relationships with customers and contractors.
