Wind Turbine Technician

The Wind Turbine Technician is responsible with others, to provide maintenance, servicing and inspection of wind turbines and balance of plant, to ensure the assets are maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, maximising the commercial value within compliant requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, inspections, fault finding, modifications, retrofits, and component replacements on wind turbines and balance of plant equipment.
  • Use SCADA and diagnostic systems to investigate faults, reset turbines, monitor performance, and maximise energy production.
  • Work safely and independently within a small team, maintaining accurate records and adhering to all HSSE and safe working procedures.

  • Proven wind turbine maintenance and servicing experience.
  • Full GWO certification (including Enhanced First Aid and Advanced Rescue).
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical technical background with troubleshooting experience.

Nice to Have

  • Senvion MM platform experience.
  • Competent Slinger/Signaller and Banksman.
  • HNC, ONC or NVQ qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
