My client is looking for Platform Automation Engineer (Windows), and I wanted to know whether this would be of interest to you or not?
Position: Platform Automation Engineer (Windows)
Location: UK (Remote)
Duration: 6+ months contract
Overview
We are looking for a Windows Automation & Observability Engineer to help improve the reliability, visibility and automation of a large-scale Windows infrastructure.
This role sits alongside the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function, with a strong focus on Windows platform automation, operational tooling, monitoring and process optimisation.

The successful candidate will drive automation initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance platform observability to reduce manual effort and increase service reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience administering enterprise Windows Server environments.
- Excellent PowerShell scripting and Windows automation skills.
- Experience building and maintaining infrastructure automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of observability principles, including monitoring, logging and alerting.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.
- Knowledge of operational process automation and workflow optimisation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure management and configuration tools.
- Experience working within SRE, Infrastructure Engineering or Platform Operations teams.
