Salary: £75,000 + 5% performance bonus

The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Windows Engineer to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.

As a consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters. You will be deployed on an assignment within our clients' organisations, in return, we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global business, providing top-tier service to our blue-chip clients.

What you'll do

  • Support, maintain and enhance Windows server and platform environments.
  • Deliver infrastructure changes, upgrades and transformation activities.
  • Investigate and resolve technical incidents and underlying problems.
  • Monitor and improve system performance, security, resilience and availability.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams and third-party suppliers to deliver agreed outcomes.

What you bring

  • Proven experience as a Windows Engineer, Windows Server Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong Windows Server Administration experience, including the support, maintenance and optimisation of Windows server environments.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure changes, upgrades and platform transformation initiatives.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve incidents and underlying issues.
  • Experience maintaining system performance, security, availability and service resilience.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience producing technical documentation and delivering knowledge transfer.
