Windows Platform Engineer – AWS/Azure, M365, PowerShell/Python, Solution Design, IaC, IaaS, GenAI/ Agentic AI – Hedge Fund – Permanent – Up to £105,000p.a – Hybrid.

My Client, a Leading Private Hedge Fund, are looking for a Windows Platform Engineer to join their London based Infrastructure Engineering Team on a permanent basis. This role is Hybrid, offering x4 days/week in the office.

You’ll help deliver the technology services that power our core business areas worldwide, including Trading, Middle and Back Office, and Technology. You’ll work across Windows, virtualisation and associated technologies, delivered through on-premises, hosted and public cloud environments.

The focus is on system integration, support, and continuous improvement, with an emphasis on standardisation, repeatability, automation, and orchestration. You’ll also work alongside senior engineers across solution design, scoping, and architecture across our key technology platforms.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of Window Platform Engineering industry experience. Experience in a financial institution is an advantage.
  • Platform engineering and support experience focused on Microsoft server technologies, including on-premises bare metal deployments
  • Virtualisation design, architecture and support across VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, plus container technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Enterprise integration experience covering security, high availability, networking, and load balancing
  • Administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams and SharePoint Online
  • Experience turning requirements into supported solutions and environments for both proprietary and commercial software
  • Public cloud platform engineering and support, ideally with Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Infrastructure as Code skills across on-prem and cloud IaaS, using automation and orchestration tools such as Source Control, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and ServiceNow
  • Scripting or programming ability in PowerShell, Python or similar, with familiarity with APIs and JSON/YAML data structures
  • Experience with GenAI technologies via public cloud, OpenAI, AWS or similar
