WINTEL Engineer

Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced WINTEL Engineers to support the delivery and maintenance of enterprise Windows infrastructure within a secure environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for administering Microsoft technologies, supporting virtualised infrastructure, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of critical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems across enterprise environments.
  • Deploy and support Microsoft enterprise services including Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, SQL, Skype, WSUS, PKI, and supporting applications.
  • Administer and support Windows environments within virtualised infrastructure platforms.
  • Perform system configuration, patching, backup, and restore operations.
  • Support system integration, troubleshooting, and resolution of infrastructure issues.
  • Produce technical documentation including design documents, build guides, and operational procedures.
  • Support testing, integration, and commissioning activities.
  • Work with Service Management teams to resolve incidents and service requests.
  • Contribute to automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement of WINTEL services.
  • Deliver activities in line with security and programme requirements.

  • Strong experience with Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016 and later).
  • Active Directory administration in secure environments.
  • Microsoft technologies including PKI, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL, and WSUS.
  • Virtualised infrastructure experience.
  • Patching, backup/restore, monitoring, and system administration.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Technical documentation experience (LLDs, build guides, runbooks).
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Active SC Clearance or ability to obtain SC Clearance.
