Job Title: Wintel Engineer (SC Cleared)
Location: 5 days per week on-site, in North West England office

We are supporting a critical national infrastructure client in hiring a Wintel Engineer, working across the design and build of secure server and infrastructure environments.
This role spans a remote design phase followed by an on-site build phase, during which the successful candidate will be required to build servers and infrastructure, directly on the client’s site. The role will involve close collaboration with the Portfolio Manager and Technical Lead, and will require the production of Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and Build Guides throughout delivery.

This role suits an experienced Wintel Engineer comfortable working within secure UK Government and/or critical national infrastructure environments, and willing to work to SQEP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build servers and infrastructure on client site during the build phase of the project
- Produce Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and Build Guides to support delivery and handover
- Deliver work directly to the Portfolio Manager and Technical Lead
- Work to SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) requirements
- Apply data security and infrastructure build standards throughout design and build activity
- Work within a secure environment, adhering to UK Government and/or critical national infrastructure security requirements

Essential Skills
- Strong Wintel infrastructure engineering experience, including server build and configuration
- Experience working on secure projects with the UK Government and/or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) clients
- Experience of data security and infrastructure build standards
- Willingness to work to SQEP requirements
- Experience producing Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and Build Guides
- Understanding of computational science principles as applied to infrastructure delivery
- Past software development experience, relevant to infrastructure and systems delivery
