Wireless & IP Systems Technician

Are you a hands-on technician with an interest in wireless communications, networking, electronics, or connected technologies?

We're working with an innovative technology business that designs and delivers communication and connectivity solutions across a range of critical industries. They are looking for a motivated Wireless & IP Systems Technician to join their growing technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their technical career, or an experienced field technician looking to broaden their skillset across wireless systems, IP networking, IoT technologies, and customer-facing technical support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Installing and commissioning wireless communication and networking systems
  • Configuring IP-based devices, software platforms, and end-user equipment
  • Supporting customers remotely and on-site across the UK
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and driving resolutions through to completion
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation and installation records
  • Working closely with project teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Contributing to system testing, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in telecommunications, networking, IT infrastructure, electronics, or a related technical discipline
  • Understanding of IP networking fundamentals and device configuration
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider project team
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

  • Wireless technologies, radio systems, LTE/4G/5G, or IoT solutions
  • Electrical or electromechanical installation experience
  • Field service engineering or construction/site-based deployment work
  • CSCS card or experience working on construction projects
  • Military technical background or technical apprenticeship
  • HNC/HND, NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical qualification
