Wireless Network Field Engineer | £40,000 - £55,000 + Overtime | UK
We’re recruiting for a growing specialist networking business looking to add an experienced Wireless Network Field Engineer to their technical team.
This is a proper hands-on Wi-Fi role. You’ll be out on customer sites carrying out surveys, diagnosing wireless issues, supporting deployments and helping customers improve the performance of their networks.
You’ll work across a mixture of commercial environments, including offices, warehousing, logistics and other large-scale sites throughout the UK.
What we’re looking for:
- ECSE certification is highly desirable
- At least 2 years' experience across Wi-Fi, wireless networking or network infrastructure
- Hands-on experience using Ekahau Pro for wireless surveys
- Strong understanding of RF and Wi-Fi fundamentals
- Experience troubleshooting wireless performance issues
- Exposure to enterprise wireless platforms such as Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus or Extreme
- Good networking fundamentals across switching, VLANs, DHCP and routing
- Comfortable producing survey reports and presenting technical findings to customers
- Full UK driving licence

Experience within warehousing, logistics or manufacturing would be particularly useful, although this isn't essential if your core wireless experience is strong.
Predictive design, cabling, CCNA/CWNA and broader infrastructure experience would also be valuable.

The role involves regular UK travel and occasional overnight stays, so you need to be comfortable being field based several days per week.
Geographically, candidates based between North London and the Midlands would be particularly well positioned for the customer base, although I’m happy to speak with strong candidates from elsewhere.
