About the Role
The candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions, algorithms, protocols and systems addressing the challenges of future wireless systems. We are seeking a candidate to be a part of a highly skilled team of engineers/researchers responsible for developing the next generation of wireless communication technologies.
The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP)
The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) unites 7 global organizations (ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, TSDSI, TTA, TTC), and provides their members with a stable environment to produce the Reports and Specifications that define 3GPP technologies. The project covers cellular telecommunications technologies, including radio access, core network and service capabilities, which provide a complete system description for mobile telecommunications. The widely used cellular technologies 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G NR have been developed via a global effort in 3GPP. Currently 3GPP is in the midst of developing the new generation of wireless technology, 6G.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
