Geography Tutors® is a specialist tutoring provider focused exclusively on GCSE, A Level, and IB Geography. We connect students with highly qualified geography tutors, including experienced classroom teachers, Heads of Geography, and active exam board examiners. Tuition is tailored to each exam board, such as AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, and Cambridge International, ensuring students receive targeted support rather than generic tuition.
Geography Tutors® supports learners across the UK, including those with ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia, by adapting teaching methods to individual needs. The team is safeguarding-trained, Enhanced DBS checked, and known for helping students improve grades, exam technique, and confidence in geography.
Role Description
As a WJEC/Eduqas A Level Geography Tutor at Geography Tutors®, you will deliver high-quality, one-to-one geography tuition aligned specifically with the WJEC/Eduqas A Level specification.

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons, focusing on content understanding, exam technique, essay writing, and geographical skills.
- Assess students' needs, design tailored learning plans, and provide regular feedback to help learners progress and build confidence.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and final exams, setting and marking work, and tracking progress against agreed goals.
- Collaborate with the wider tutoring team on best practices.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Uphold safeguarding and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Please note: A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification (QTS) is a strict requirement. Applications without this will not be considered.
We are looking for a highly qualified WJEC/Eduqas A Level Geography specialist. The ideal candidate will be a practising or recently practising UK teacher with a strong track record of results at A Level, and ideally experience as a WJEC/Eduqas examiner or in a middle leadership role such as Head of Geography.

You will need:
- A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and QTS status.
- A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
- Proven results teaching WJEC/Eduqas A Level Geography, with evidence of student grade improvements.
- Experience as a WJEC/Eduqas examiner, moderator, or Head of Geography (highly desirable).
- The ability to teach complex physical and human geography concepts with clarity and confidence.
- A track record of strong exam preparation - covering technique, essay writing, revision strategy, and written feedback.
- Experience adapting your teaching to different learning styles, including students with ADHD, Autism, or Dyslexia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with both students and their families.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to keep accurate records and meet agreed targets.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
