WMR FX Benchmarks Role

WMR FX Benchmarks have been operating since 1994, and this role sits within FTSE Russell’s Benchmark & Index Management division.

WMR FX Benchmarks produces benchmark rates for Spot, Forward and NDF rates at fixed points throughout the global day, on a 24hr x 5.5 day basis. Benchmark rates are produced from Hong Kong Opening Sunday to New York Close Friday.

Role Summary

This role is within the WMR Content Operations team. Working hours are on a ‘shift’ basis, 6.30am to 2.30pm, 1.30pm to 9.30pm and 9.30pm to 5.30am. This vacancy is for the ‘Backshift’, approx. 1.30pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday. The team adopt ‘hybrid’ working, with a minimum of three days in the office each week, and two at home.

Primarily, this role requires the management of a team of Content Specialists, holding responsibility for people management, day to day operations and accomplishing Divisional objectives through the delivery of service and quality targets.

Additionally, this role will also involve participating in the provision of accurate and timely benchmark rates to clients who subscribe to the WMR Spot, Forward and NDF services. These benchmark rates are published every 30 minutes and therefore the Team Lead will be a key part of the production cycle, taking responsibility for the process, beginning to end.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Lead a team of Content Operations Specialists in a hybrid working environment
  • Assign and review work, driving and monitoring performance and results
  • Develop expertise within the team by identifying gaps in knowledge and proposing or conducting training of more junior staff
  • Motivate team to meet customer requirements and improve quality and service standards by setting challenging but achievable key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead a team and ensures all escalation/issues are handled appropriately and according to policy
  • Lead performance enablement discussions
  • Lead the day-to-day operations and recruitment, training and development of the team
  • Contribute to cross functional initiatives or horizontal initiatives.

  • Process data in an accurate and timely manner using the knowledge of the tools and financial markets
  • Use the approved sources to identify the data, make valuable contributions to the data or use the data as is defined in the collection policy
  • Perform data investigation on diagnostic, descriptive, and statistical output during the course of research projects
