The Opportunity
Are you a WMS specialist with Blue Yonder Dispatcher expertise who enjoys turning complex business challenges into smart, scalable technology solutions? If so, we have the role for you!
We are looking for an experienced Blue Yonder Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Applications Specialist, this pivotal role will see you continually developing, optimising and supporting our WMS landscape.
You will work in collaboration with business and technology teams to understand requirements, map processes and translate them into effective Blue Yonder configurations that deliver real business value. You will be more than a systems specialist, you will be a trusted technology partner, helping drive implementations, improvements, integrations and change across our warehouse operations.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK; however, we are ideally looking for individuals to be based in and around the midlands. You will be comfortable with travel supporting our teams and operations across our network!
What You'll Be Doing
As our Blue Yonder WMS Applications Specialist, you will take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities where you will focus on:
- Translate and analyse business needs, map processes and turn them into detailed, effective WMS configurations.
- Using SQL extract and manipulate data within the WMS environment, while developing and optimising queries to support reporting and system performance.
- Lead in implementation projects, supporting the journey from planning through to successful go-live.
- Own, develop and execute test plans and play a key role in UAT, working with stakeholders to validate system changes and ensure reliable solutions.
- Connect systems and solutions ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between WMS and integration platforms.
- Provide expert guidance on system changes, upgrades, patches and new functionality while minimising disruption to operations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction and optimisation across the WMS environment.
- Actively support incident resolution and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing technical support and communicating complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, process maps and templates to support future enhancements and onboarding.
- Develop and deliver training for onsite super users, helping build capability and confidence across the organisation.
- Work with technology teams, operations and other departments to ensure WMS strategies support wider business objectives.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for solving problems. You will have proven Blue Yonder Dispatcher experience both in implementing and configuring the tool, ideally within a logistics, warehousing or FMCG environment.
You will have a proven track record of managing complex operational implementations ideally within a technical or superuser position, knowledgeable in system integrations with the ability to read and interpret mapping specified documents (MSDs).
It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator, with the ability to build strong working relationships, capable of influencing, problem solving and thinking bigger picture.
It would be desirable, however not essential if you have:
- Experience writing, I-Reporting within Blue Yonder
- Experience of supporting Blue Yonder upgrades
- Exposure to other Blue Yonder products such as Warehouse Labour Management (WLM)
- Intermediate skills in SQL
- Prince2 OR change management certifications
- Proven experience of delivering continuous improvement initiatives

Role Details
- Salary: Competitive Salary
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
- Location: This role can be based anywhere in the UK, we are ideally looking for individuals to be based in and around the midlands. Individuals must be comfortable with hybrid working and travel as and when needed.
