Job Description
Salary range: £50,000 per annum - £65,000 depending on skills and experience.
Location: Remote / Hybrid - Full or part Time
Closing date: Friday 23rd October 2026. We encourage interested candidates to apply as early as possible
Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Occam Group, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

Job Description
Day to day, you will work with clients providing specialist consultancy services and support business development activities. You will use your engineering knowledge to influence the design, operation and maintenance of complex systems to ensure that technical risks are identified, communicated and managed; and that the safety of those using or relying on the system is not compromised.
You will join our Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (WOME) consultants who are currently delivering on the most cutting edge programmes covering directed energy weapons, hypersonics, autonomous ordnance clearance, conventional weapons and the deterrent.

Duties to include:
- Providing hazard and risk analysis technical leadership to WOME projects and junior staff.
- Conducting Independent Safety Audits for WOME programmes.
- Setting and implementing safety strategies for complex and novel WOME systems.
- Leading WOME integration studies to air platforms, ships, submarines and land systems.
- Setting WOME certification and qualification strategies and programmes.
Essential Requirements
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Weapons, Defence Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (WOME).
- Customer focus with an ability to develop strong relationships and understand problems.
- Awareness of commercial strategies for the successful contracting of new work.
- Experience of working in teams and develop others.
Desirable Requirements
- Chartered Status with UK Engineering Council (desirable).
- Consultancy experience (desirable).
- SC and / or DV security clearance.
