- Research consumer behaviour, emerging trends, competitor activity and the wider outdoor, active and womenswear landscape to identify new product and design opportunities.
- Develop seasonal concepts from initial idea through to final product, including mood boards, colour palettes, silhouettes, fabric direction, CADs and technical drawings.
- Work closely with Product, Development, Technical and Merchandising teams to turn creative concepts into commercially successful, well-executed product.
- Collaborate through fittings, prototypes and sample reviews, refining fit, proportion, construction and functionality to deliver a great women’s product experience.
- Present seasonal concepts and ranges to key stakeholders, clearly communicating the creative thinking and consumer insight behind your designs.
- Build your knowledge of performance fabrics, materials and technical construction, working with specialist teams and suppliers to create product that performs as well as it looks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
