Tooting Bec FC Women – First Team

Level

Tier 6 of the women’s football pyramid

Commitment

Wednesday evening training and Sunday matches

About the role

Tooting Bec FC Women are looking for an enthusiastic and committed First Team Assistant Manager to join our existing management team. Our First Team currently competes at Tier 6 of the women’s football pyramid, and we are looking for someone to work closely alongside our First Team Manager as their No.2, supporting across training, matchdays, team selection and tactical planning.

You’ll join an established management team consisting of a First Team Manager, First Team Coach and Goalkeeper Coach. This role is therefore less about simply delivering coaching sessions and more about providing the Manager with another trusted footballing perspective – contributing ideas, discussing selection and tactics, helping make decisions on matchdays and being able to step up and lead the team when required.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a competitive Tier 6 environment and play an important role within an ambitious and growing women’s football programme.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can work closely with the First Team Manager and become a trusted No.2 within the management team
  • Is confident contributing to discussions around team selection, formations, tactics and game plans
  • Can provide constructive ideas, opinions and a different perspective when making footballing decisions
  • Is comfortable taking an active role on matchdays, both before and during games
  • Can support the planning and delivery of training sessions alongside the existing coaching team
  • Is confident communicating with and motivating players in a competitive first-team environment
  • Is able to deputise for the First Team Manager and lead the team when required
  • Is passionate about women’s football and creating a positive, ambitious and player-focused environment
  • Can commit to Wednesday evening training and Sunday fixtures, both home and away
  • Is organised, reliable and able to communicate effectively with players, coaches and the wider club

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
