Womenswear Fashion Designer | London
A brilliant new opportunity has landed with a highly reputable and established fashion business in London, and we're looking for a talented Womenswear Designer to join their creative team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer who has built a strong foundation within womenswear and is now ready to take the next step in their career. You'll be joining a supportive, collaborative team where there is plenty of scope to learn, develop and really make your mark across the product.
We're looking for someone who is both creatively driven and technically strong - a designer who understands that great product is about so much more than just the initial idea. You'll be involved throughout the full garment development journey, from initial concept and sketch through to sampling and final product.
The Role:
- Developing creative and commercial womenswear across the collection, with a strong focus on outerwear and tailoring
- Creating your own detailed tech packs and ensuring designs are communicated clearly to suppliers and factories
- Producing confident hand/digital sketches and clearly briefing factories on construction, details and how samples should be made
- Working closely with suppliers throughout the sampling and development process
- Taking ownership of designs from initial concept through to final production
- Considering every element of garment development, including construction, fabric, trims, fit and finishing
- Working collaboratively with the wider design and product teams to develop commercially relevant, high-quality product
- Contributing creatively to the direction of the wider womenswear collection

About You:
We're looking for a designer with a few years' industry experience who has developed a strong technical and creative foundation, but who is still hungry to learn and develop.

You'll ideally have:
- Womenswear design experience, ideally within a fast-paced fashion environment
- Strong outerwear and tailoring experience
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and the full product development process
- The ability to create your own accurate, detailed tech packs
- Strong sketching and communication skills
- Confidence briefing factories and suppliers clearly and effectively
- A genuine understanding of what goes into making a garment, rather than being purely concept/creative focused
- A commercial eye alongside strong creative instincts
- Great attention to detail and a hands-on approach to product development
- A willingness to learn, take ownership and grow within a supportive team
