Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Woodworking Machinist role based in King’s Lynn. The Woodworking Machinist will operate and maintain woodworking machinery to manufacture components for sliding door and storage systems to precise specifications. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Setting up and safely running machines such as saws, routers, sanders, and CNC equipment
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Ensuring consistent quality and finish
- Reading technical drawings
- Performing basic equipment checks
- Identifying defects
- Working closely with the production team to meet project deadlines

The successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement in workshop processes and uphold health and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience operating woodworking machinery (e.g., panel saws, edge banders, CNC routers) and using hand tools safely and accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and work orders, with strong measurement and basic math skills.
- Understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes, including working with timber, panels, and hardware components.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused approach, and ability to inspect and verify work against specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to identify and address minor machine or process issues in the workshop.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Commitment to health and safety practices, including safe machine operation, PPE use, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Previous experience in joinery, cabinetry, or manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in woodworking, machining, or a related field is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new processes, and support continuous improvement in production efficiency.
