Role Description
This part-time hybrid role is based in the United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. The WordPress and Digital Content Specialist will manage, update, and optimize BioScent’s WordPress website, including creating, editing, and publishing pages, posts, and multimedia content.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining site structure and navigation
- Ensuring responsive design
- Implementing basic SEO best practices to support brand visibility
- Coordinating digital content across web and other online channels
- Aligning messaging with marketing objectives
- Ensuring consistent branding and accessibility
- Monitoring site performance
- Identifying and resolving content-related issues
- Collaborating with marketing and design colleagues
- Reporting on key content and engagement metrics

- Strong WordPress experience, including managing themes, plugins, content updates, and basic troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in writing and editing clear, engaging digital content tailored to web users.
- Ability to apply SEO and basic digital marketing principles to improve visibility and audience engagement.
- Comfort with content planning, scheduling, and coordinating assets across multiple digital channels.
- Good understanding of web usability, accessibility, and responsive design best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, including proofreading and quality control for all published content.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Relevant experience in digital content or web management; a degree or training in marketing, communications, design, or a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to manage workload independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a part-time role.
