Job Opportunity: WordPress Developer
Robert Half have partnered with a rapidly growing SaaS business that is looking to engage an experienced WordPress Developer on an initial 3-month contract. You will take ownership of the company's corporate website, focusing on performance, SEO optimisation, user experience, integrations, and ongoing development.
About the Role
This role would suit a WordPress specialist who has extensive experience managing and enhancing high-traffic corporate websites, with a strong understanding of technical SEO, website performance, and third-party integrations.
Responsibilities
- Own the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimisation of the company's WordPress website.
- Implement enhancements and new functionality to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Develop and customise WordPress themes and templates where required.
- Write custom WordPress code and troubleshoot technical issues across the platform.
- Optimise website performance, speed, accessibility, and security.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to support lead generation initiatives.
- Manage and enhance integrations with platforms such as HubSpot, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other marketing technologies.
- Ensure best practice implementation of SEO and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).
- Configure and maintain Cloudflare settings to optimise website performance and security.
- Manage cookie consent tools and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor website health and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Required
- Extensive experience developing and managing enterprise-level or corporate WordPress websites.
- Expert-level knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and custom development.
- Strong front-end development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Proven experience delivering technical SEO improvements and optimisation projects.
- Strong understanding of AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and modern search best practices.
- Experience integrating WordPress with HubSpot, Google Ads, Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools.
- Experience working with Cloudflare, CDN technologies, and website security best practices.
- Knowledge of cookie management platforms and GDPR compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced SaaS or technology environments.

- Day Rate | Outside IR35
