Job Role

This role involves being responsible for the recruitment, retention, support, and completion of a standardised caseload of learners that have chosen to enrol. Management and digital experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Assessor is responsible for delivery of training, assessment, and quality assurance of learners’ work. The Assessor will be overseeing learners’ knowledge and practical competence in the workplace setting.

The Assessor will be expected to recruit for and deliver a variety of qualifications.

On a daily basis the role involves meeting with learners and employers within different workplace settings, predominantly remotely but with some travel expected, working independently ensuring compliance with qualification requirements. The assessor requires the skills to plan visits in a logical manner with due regard to restricting travelling, in order to make the best use of time as well as providing resources and support to meet the individual needs of each and every learner in the language of their choice.

The assessor will be one of a team of assessors within Busnes@GLLM and will be expected to promote the courses offered, to encourage recruitment. The ability to teach small group workshop sessions (in management, business & digital related topics) would be beneficial.

Requirements

We would welcome applications from people with at least 3 years experience in a customer service, business administration, digital, team leading, or management role.

Job Details

  • Job Reference: BD/050/26
  • Salary: £29,878.74 - £32,423.10 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience
  • Place of Work: Bangor, St. Asaph
  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years’ continuous service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually. Part Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above. Term Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above paid as part of annual salary.
  • Working Pattern: 37 hours per week
  • Pension Rights: Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Contract Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Closing Date: 30 Oct 2026, 12:00 PM (Midday)
